School is no longer mandatory for students only, but for parents too! Mothers and fathers who will quit the sessions will be fined - with 2,000 lei. They could even be undermined by parental rights. The proposal comes from the National Federation of Parent Associations and aims to arouse parents' interest in the child's fate at school.
The National Federation of Parents' Associations proposed that in the two unexcused absences from the meetings with the parents, the older ones should be fined up to 2,000 new lei. "We asked not only for the fine ... they no longer deserve to be parents," accuses Mihaela Guna, president of FNAP. However, the parents do not see the project very well, and the most frequently cited reasons for the adults are the extremely busy work program.
Even the little ones do not like the idea. At such fines, he certainly does not forget to announce his parents meeting. The Ministry of Education promises to analyze the proposal. In the current draft law of pre-university education there is only one sentence for parents: fines if the child chops too much from school.
